Fees

You will be billed for any lost materials. Unpaid replacement costs for lost materials will result in a bar on your library account and restrictions on your ability to register for classes.

Borrowing from Other Libraries

Direct Access Program (DAP)

Students, faculty, and staff may borrow from other libraries in New York's Capital District. The Direct Access Program (DAP) allows our library users in good standing to borrow materials directly from participating libraries throughout the region. You must have a DAP card to borrow from participating libraries. DAP cards are issued at the ACPHS Library Desk by Library staff members only.

Some libraries will only lend to certain groups, such as faculty or graduate students. Please be sure to check in advance. You are responsible for abiding by the rules and regulations of each of the libraries from which you borrow. The lending library will validate users and enter personal information into their own databases. Call the lending library before you go to ensure what verification is needed, and that staff who can perform this validation are available.

Lending libraries may choose to not honor a DAP cardholder's request based on the cardholder's outstanding obligations to the lending library or history of being delinquent with materials.

Click here for more information on DAP, including a list of participating libraries and their lending levels.
