Limitations

Cheating ChatGPT could be used to plagiarize or to cheat if users copy answers from the tool

Bias   ChatGPT is trained on data and writings that may contain bias,so it can sometimes generate responses that discriminate against gender, race and other minority groups.

Currency  ChatGPT's  internal knowledge base only goes back to 2021, so it may not have the most current information on all topics. Users are unable to access real-time information or current events

Accuracy  ChatGPT frequently provides incorrect or misleading information. Users should always fact check the information they receive from ChatGPT

Fake references  Although ChatGPT can generate a bibliography or works cited page, the references are often incorrect or fake. Citatons should be checked to verify they exist.

Lack of Creativity and Critical Thinking  ChatGPT does not "think" when it replies to user prompts. Problem solving, creative thinking and applying knowledge to new contexts is limited with AI.
