Welcome to the Albany Library!: Getting Started

New Albany Students

Everything you need to know to start using your Library is here!

What do I Need to Know?

You can begin checking out library materials at any time.  You are already in our system and your Student ID card also serves as your Library Card.  Please make sure you have it with you when you come to the Library.

  • Monday – Thursday: 8am-Midnight
  • Friday: 8am-8pm
  • Saturday: 10am-9pm
  • Sunday: 10am-Midnight

The Library is open until 9pm during the first week of classes.  Regular semester hours start on September 4th.  Any exceptions to the regular hours are posted on the door and they are always available on our Library Website

You will need your Access FOB to gain entry to the Library at the following times:

  • Weekdays: 5pm UNTIL CLOSING

If you do not have a fob for your ACPHS Residence Hall or Parking contact Administrative Operations to request one.  To report any problems with your fob, please click here.

We have four first come, first served PCs in the library for you to use if you don’t have your laptop with you.

Printers are available for student use in the Library.  For more information link here.

There are lots of different study spaces for you to choose from in the library including 10 group study rooms.  If you need to study in a group you can check them out on a first come, first served base and use them for 3 hours.

You can access material not owned by ACPHS Library by using our interlibrary loan service, ILLiad.  Take a look at our interlibrary loan guide to learn more about this useful service and how to register for an ILLiad account.

While the weather is still nice we have picnic blankets and beach chairs available for you to borrow for up to three hours and use out on the lawn.  We also have leisure reading materials, movies, tv series and video games available to borrow for two weeks.

How Can I Find out More?

Check out the rest of the Library Website to start accessing the library resources you need for your classes.

If you would like to learn more about our services and resources, feel free to book an appointment with a librarian.
